5 out of 5 stars Brooks and Dunn the best ever Duo in country music   August 1, 2010
Mary Garrett Engman (Panama City, Florida USA)
Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are my very favorite country singers. They make you want to dance, they make you want to laugh, to cry, they sing about love, and the loss of love. Too bad this most sucessful duo in country music history are breaking up their act. I never got to see them live, but soon as I heard they were breaking up I started gathering up every album that Amazon carried of the two. Kix Brooks had some decent songs and did a good job backing up Ronnie Dunn. The real Voice of the duo was Ronnie, he made you want to just play their songs over and over again. We own 3 vehicles and each of them has some B & D on CD in them. My husband prefered a little varity but I prefered Brooks and Dunn all the time. They are both handsome men, but I have a photo of Ronnie singing where he looks like Gods light is just shinning down on him. I posted it on my MySpace site and put the songs "Believe" and "God Must Be Busy" as the song on my site. The last song IF you listen to the words again you will hear the things that are happening today in our lives, some where late in the song he says "Old Folks can't afford the drugs they need to live" This present administration talked about death of older sick people. Well if you cut out cost of living raises on the old folks and hike the premium on Medicare you are in fact causing them to choose between eating and getting medicine that will keep them alive. I am one of those old folks, we are feeling the pinch in the pocket book. We have to remember "Be Kinder Than Necessary, because all people are fighting their own battle". I think this highest quality duo would agree with me. IF every one was kinder to each other what kind of world would we live in; but that won't happen, because of their own battle they don't even think of their friend or fellow man. I found that out recently when my husband spent 6 month of his life in 4 medical facilities. One friend had an real excuse, but the rest were fair weather friend. They are never there when you are going through something that requires him to do something for you. They can't spare a few simple minutes to offer a shoulder to lean on, or to cry on.

I was already a Brooks and Dunn fan. It is nice to have all their greats in one place to enjoy. Their music will certainly be missed.

I am not a fan on the "new" country music. I still like to understand and enjoy the lyrics without everything being blasted at me. They all sound alike now.

B&D had a unique sound and I still enjoy their music.
