When I was a kid, I found an old album called Guitar Country. I already had some Chet because anybody that played guitar, or was just interested in guitar music, had some Chet records. Anyway, I was looking for years for the album to come out again in any form--a disc was almost to much to ask for. The reason I was so hungry for this particular disc, or whatever came to be, was because of one particular tune. I have seen Chet a few times and once whs blessed to get a chance to talk to him. Of corse I had a lot to ask, and he was very nice to me. But, I have to say, he was not to big on talking about really old tunes (which I understand). however, I pressed him about a tune that was on Guitar Country and never to be heard of again..."A Little Bit Of Blues." Before I talk about one of the other things that I like ablut the album, I just have to say, if you buy this for no other reason than to get that tune, you will have just spent money in the most wise way you can (which includes feeding your family). The rest of the album has some really interesting stuff like his use of the Anita Kerr singers--thay just were made for Chet Atkins style of shamless corn (which only he could make art of). As for More Of That Guitar Country, let's just say maybe someday Guitar Country will be made as a one album disc--which would make this review ten stars. YOU HAVE TO HAVE THIS DISC IF YOU THINK YOU ARE A CHET FAN. Then, let me know if you don't think A Little Bit Of Blues is one of Chets very best tunes.
